Top-3 : Jake Allen decides himself to leave the game after giving 5 goals

Three games were presented in the NHL on Wednesday evening.
It was a quiet evening.
Let’s see what caught our attention:
The @NHLJets made it 11 straight wins, Nathan MacKinnon took back the scoring lead and the @Canucks staved off a comeback attempt to move back into a playoff position.
That’s it for Wednesday.

1 : Jake Allen gives up
The Devils were visiting Colorado and Jake Allen was tasked with stopping the Avalanche’s big guns.
It didn’t go well for the former Canadiens player.
Artturi Lehkonen opened the scoring in the first period:

Nathan MacKinnon really put on a show in the game.
The player finished the game with two goals and an assist, which allowed him to be the first player in the NHL to reach the 90-point plateau this season.
He’s good at hockey, MacKinnon (hehe):

At one point, with the Avalanche leading 4-1, Jake Allen conceded another goal.
And he decided that was enough.
He left the ice with 1:42 remaining in the third period, and it was clear he was not satisfied with the effort of his teammates:

But the damage was already done. The Avalanche won 5-1, and in the win, we must also mention Martin Necas’ performance (three assists).
He’s having fun in Colorado, unlike Rantanen in Carolina…
2 : The Jets are too strong for the Sens
The Sens had a big test on the menu last night.
The powerful Jets were in town… And we know how hard they are to beat.
There was excitement at the start of the game, too:

But it was the Jets who benefited the most.
The Winnipeg team didn’t hold back: they scored three goals in a row between the first and second periods.
At 3-0 for the Jets… It was already very difficult for the Sens to come back:

Thomas Chabot hadn’t said his last word, however.
The Senators’ defenseman foiled Connor Hellebuyck with a perfect shot to reduce the deficit to two small goals:

But in the end, the Sens were not able to complete their comeback.
The Ottawa team lost 4-1. Mark Scheifele scored into an empty net.
Note that this is the Jets’ 11th straight win (!) while the Sens have lost five consecutive games.
3 : Big win for the Canucks
We’re heading into the third period of the game between the Canucks and the Kings.
The score is 2-0 in favor of Vancouver.
That’s when the Kings woke up, however.
Adrian Kempe scored one of the beauties of the evening with a shot as precise as it was powerful:

And with a few minutes left in the game, Warren Foegele stood up.
He tied the game to force overtime:

The Kings tried everything to get back into the game and close the books… But they were unable to do so.
It was Connor Garland who secured the win for his team with his second goal of the game.
Important win for the Canucks by a score of 3-2:
