1. Sam Bennett gives Max Domi a beating
If he can‘t score and contribute offensively, Max Domi will try to energize his team. Yesterday, that’s exactly what he tried to do, but it more or less worked.

As for the game itself, the Leafs won it in a shootout. The Panthers thought they had escaped with the win after an Evan Rodrigues goal.
The referees decided to disallow the goal.

As for Mitchell Marner, he didn’t have the easiest evening. In the first period, he received a puck directly in the face.

2. Two goals and a fight for Michael McCarron
With yesterday’s game alone, Michael McCarron equalled his goal tally from last year.
The former Montreal Canadien found the back of the net twice (in the space of eight minutes).

3. Three points for Connor McDavid
Ladies and gentlemen, Connor McDavid is officially back!
After a slow start to the season, the best player in the world is back on top. After some fine performances over the past few days, 97 is coming off a three-point game, his third in a row.
In an Oilers victory over the Knights, the captain collected a goal and two assists.
That gives him 12 points in his last three games.

4. John Hynes wins his first game at the Wild helm
After a disastrous start to the Minnesota season, Dean Evason was fired and John Hynes replaced him.
Yesterday was the coach’s first game at the helm, and he won it.

In the home team’s win, Filip Gustavsson stopped 23 of 24 shots.
