Travolta Extortion Suspect Talks
Wilchcombe, who is the former Minister of Tourism in the Bahamas, was arrested and released on Friday (January 23) to be questioned about extortion attempts against the family of John Travolta, reports PerezHilton.com.
John Travolta and his wife, Kelly Preston, have been threatened with extortion following the death of their son, Jett. A large sum of money was requested from the family in order to keep photographs of the dead boy from being leaked to the public. The pictures were of Jett in the ambulance on his way to the hospital.
Today, Wilchcombe says that he is not guilty of extortion attempts, and added that he was simply trying to warn the Travoltas of others who may try to publish the photos. Former member of parliament, Pleasant Bridgewater, is also being questioned in the case.
