Trent Reznor unveils Dragon Tattoo soundtrack

Academy award-winning composer releases six songs from soundtrack to English remake of The Girl with The Dragon Tattoo.

Today (December 2), Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor, along with co-composer Atticus Ross, released six songs from the soundtrack of the English remake of The Girl with The Dragon Tattoo, reports NME.

Fans can pre-order the three-hour soundtrack online on the musician’s website, which will be released December 9 in the U.S., and the movie, directed by David Fincher and starring Rooney Mara and Daniel Craig, will debut December 21.

Discussing the project, Reznor wrote on his website: "For the last 14 months Atticus and I have been hard at work on David Fincher’s The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. We laughed, we cried, we lost our minds and in the process made some of the most beautiful and disturbing music of our careers. The result is a sprawling three-hour opus that I am happy to announce is available for pre-order right now. The full release will be available in one week – December 9th."

Reznor and Ross worked with Fincher previously, composing the score for the soundtrack of The Social Network in 2010, which won them both a Golden Globe and an Oscar.

Reznor now plans to resume work soon with his band Nine Inch Nails.
