Geffen Records is launching a double disc on December 4, entitled Rufus Does Judy at Carnegie Hall. This was recorded on June 14, 2006, while the Montreal singer did Judy Garland songs in the celebrated New York theatre.
The DVD, Rufus! Rufus! Rufus! Does Judy! Judy! Judy! Live at the London Palladium, will also be available.
The two discs will have 27 songs that were done by Garland at the concert at Carnegie Hall in 1961. It will include tracks such as Zing! Went the Strings of My Heart, Over the Rainbow and Puttin’ on the Ritz. There will be three additional singles added to the DVD: Hello Bluebird, Someone to Watch Over Me and Everytime We Say Goodbye, done by Wainwright’s mother, Kate McGarrigle.
