Trip down memory lane

Arcade Fire invites you to revisit your childhood.

Arcade Fire released an interactive short film called The Wilderness Downtown which features the song We Used to Wait. The track is off their recently released smash album The Suburbs.

Canada’s indie darlings teamed up with director Chris Milk and Google. The Official Google Blog explains how the film "takes you down memory lane through the streets you grew up in."

Chris Milk has worked with big names in the music biz including Kanye West and U2 while Google brings an interactive element to the mix.

The video was built using the latest web technologies, including HTML5, Google Map and Street View databases. Fans can customize the short film by entering the address of their childhood home.

There is a disclaimer, however. Fans will be unable to access the website unless they open it using the Google Chrome browser.

The Wilderness Downtown website states: "This site was designed with Google Chrome in mind and is unable to render properly in your browser. For the best viewing experience, we recommend downloading Google Chrome and trying this site again."
