Twilight Saga eclipses MTV Movie Awards nominations

The third instalment of the Twilight vampire romance series, Eclipse, is in the running for eight trophies at the upcoming MTV Movie Awards. The film was nominated for best picture along with Black Swan, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1, Inception, and The Social Network.

Twilight leading men Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner have both been nominated for best actor along with Zac Efron (Charlie St. Cloud), Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1) and Jesse Eisenberg (The Social Network).

Twilight star Kristen Stewart has been nominated for best actress, going up against Natalie Portman (Black Swan), Emma Stone (Easy A), Emma Watson (Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1) and Jennifer Aniston (Just Go With It).

This year, MTV will be introducing a new category, ‘Best Line From a Movie.’ The awards gala will be hosted by Jason Sudeikis on June 5, live from the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, California.
