Variety magazine reports that Screen Gems hired Bynes for two new projects.
In the first film, Easy A, the actress will have a supporting role. The film stars Emma Stone, who will play a high school student that falls victim to a false rumour that she lost her virginity. She will use this rumour to her advantage and become extremely popular. Bynes will play the high school’s puritanical queen bee.
Concerning the second film project, no details were given except that Bynes is currently developing the project with Screen Gems, and will star as the film’s main character.
Bynes also confirmed that she will star in a new ABC series, Canned, which will air this year. The comedy follows a group of friends who all get fired on the same day.
