U2 Announces World Tour
The Kiss The Future tour will promote the release of the album No Line on the Horizon this week. Barcelona, Spain will be the first city U2 will visit, reports Billboard magazine.
For the upcoming tour, U2 will reunite on a stage surrounded by a 360-degree audience, and the concert will also be casted on a giant cylindrical screen.
Guitarist The Edge revealed, “We’re very excited about the idea to go on the road with this album," and added, "It’s an album that I think is going to translate so well to the live context. The songs we’ve tried in rehearsal are sounding fantastic, so that’s got everyone really fired up.”
The global tour by the Irish group will travel around Europe until August 22. After that, the show heads to America, starting on September 12, with a first stop in Chicago. The North American tour goes on until October 28, and the band plans to perform abroad again until fall 2010.
Even if the full tour details have yet to be announced, ticket prices will be fixed between $30 and $250, based on the market. Tickets for the European shows will go on sale in mid-March, and those for North American will become available at the end of March, early April.
