U2 Remakes Three Albums

U2 is re-editing three of their albums and is adding new material.

The band U2 is offering rare never-been-heard material, thanks to the re-release of their albums Boy, War and October, which will hit music shelves on July 22, under the Universal label, reports Billboard.com.

Each of the albums will be available in a simple CD version, in a deluxe edition with a second disc featuring extras, and in vinyl.

The album Boy includes new songs such as Speed of Life, Saturday Night and Cartoon World, as well as a remix version of I Will Follow. The tracks Boy-Girl and 11 O’Clock Tick Tock, which were recorded in concert will also be on the album.

The new version of October is composed of a series of songs recorded at Hammersmith Palace in London and Paradise Theatre in Boston. On the album, the remix of the song, Tomorrow, was done by Common Ground.

On the new War album, the original version of Angels Too Tied to the Ground and the remixes for New Year’s Day and Two Hearts Beat as One are among the songs on the list.

U2 has recently recorded a new album with producers Brian Eno and Daniel Lanois, which should be released before the end of the year under the Interscope label.
