Usher, 31, is freshly single again. The Superior Court of Georgia has declared that the singer’s divorce his wife Tameka Foster Raymond is officially finalised, reported People.
The couple began proceedings last June, saying that they’ve been living separately since December 2008, citing irreconcilable differences with no reasonable hope of reconciliation.
People close to the singer are not surprised with the announcement of the divorce, since the couple apparently had marital problems.
The two were married in September 2007 and have two children together, Usher Raymond V and Naviyd Ely Raymond. Last July, Usher requested a paternity test for his youngest child, because at the time his son was conceived, he claimed that his sex life with his wife was virtually non-existent.
The terms of the divorce are unknown, but we do know that the singer has asked for joint custody.
