Usher’s latest album was downloaded more than 500 000 times before its release.

Usher’s new album, Here I Stand, was illegally downloaded more than 500 000 times before its release, costing the R&B star a fortune in royalties, reports Starpulse.com.

The album was found on the Internet one week before its official release.  Internet programs were able to track how many times the music was downloaded. 

The album and individual tracks were downloaded 554 716 times via BitTorrent, a peer-to-peer file sharing program.
