Located just 20 minutes north of Quebec City, Valcartier Vacation Village, North America’s largest winter playground, opens its doors for the 2010-2011 winter season on Friday, December 17.
As a special opening weekend offer, thrill-seekers can get unlimited access to the ice slides on Saturday and Sunday for only $20.
Speed down four long, steep slopes while enjoying the breathtaking scenery of the Jacques-Cartier River and Valley.
In addition to high-speed routes, tamer ice slides accommodate child-friendly 12-passenger rafts, and the Tornado, a unique raft that spins eight passengers in its slide down the hill.
This winter paradise also offers a skating path over one kilometre long, and "ice karting" – where visitors can race around an ice racetrack in a go-kart with studded tires. Little ones can enjoy the play area and ice castle
