Vivienne Westwood designs wedding gown for Miss Piggy

Dame Vivienne Westwood will design a wedding gown for Miss Piggy.

The British designer has been hand-picked by the famous puppet to curate the gown for her special day when she heads up the aisle in the upcoming comedy ‘Muppets Most Wanted’.

In the film, Miss Piggy wears Westwood’s couture Long Ivory Court wedding gown with corset detailing and paillettes made from recycled plastic bottles, paired with an ivory tulle veil, WWD is reporting.

Praising the designer, Miss Piggy said: ”Vivienne Westwood is fabulous – just like moi.”

While she was thrilled about Westwood’s creation, Miss Piggy claims her long-time beau Kermit The Frog wasn’t so keen.

She added: ”When I asked her to design this wedding dress for moi’s new movie, ‘Muppets Most Wanted’, she was thrilled and I was thrilled. The only one a bit ‘iffy’ about it was the frog.”

The high-maintenance pig also shows off her extensive designer wardrobe in the movie, with many of the items made by Westwood.

During a scene outside the Tower of London, Miss Piggy is seen wearing Westwood’s Harris Tweed houndstooth check coat with a matching beret, in addition to a long silver hand-embroidered floral lace gown for a special performance.
