Voices for Toy Story 3

The highly anticipated film, Toy Story 3, has added two new voices to its cast.

Already on board for the project are Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, Joan Cusack, Don Rickles, Wallace Shawn, John Ratzenberger, Estelle Harris, John Morris, Laurie Metcalf, R. Lee Ermey, Jodi Benson, Ned Beatty, Michael Keaton, Timothy Dalton, Jeff Garlin, Bonnie Hunt and Whoopi Goldberg.

Now joining that impressive list of names are Kristen Schaal (The Flight of the Conchords) and Blake Clark (Get Smart).  Schaal’s role has not yet been revealed, but we know that Clark will provide the voice for Slinky Dog.  Clark is replacing Jim Varney, who died in 2000.

Director Lee Unkrich made the announcement with an Internet video.  He also added that the re-release of Toy Story and Toy Story 2 in 3D will play in theatres longer than the originally planned two weeks.  The 3D versions of the films have earned nearly $30 million since their October 2 release.

Toy Story 3 in 3D is expected to reach theatres on June 18, 2010.
