For the film, the two actors worked under the direction of Steven Zaillian. Kate Winslet, Patricia Clarkson, James Gandolfini, Mark Ruffalo, Anthony Hopkins and Kevin Dunn complete the star-studded cast.
In the movie, an idealistic politician becomes corrupted by success, and then struggles between his desire to serve the people and his own selfishness, eventually losing his wife and sons.
