In the film, Fern sees her piglet son Wilbur as a special animal, and raises him into a terrific pig. As Wilbur moves into a new barn, he shares a strong friendship with a spider named Charlotte, and their bond inspires all the animals to join together as a family. When the animals learn that Wilbur’s days are numbered, a determined Charlotte spins words into her web in an effort to convice the farmer that Wilbur is a pig worth saving.
The film, directed by Gary Winick, also features the voices of Julia Roberts, Steve Buscemi, John Cleese, Oprah Winfrey, Cedric the Entertainer, Andre Benjamin, Thomas Haden Church, Robert Redford, Reba McEntire and Kathy Bates.
