Walt Disney Pictures has provided the first online trailer for Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, which was adapted from the video game by the Montreal-based company, Ubisoft.
Starring Jake Gyllenhaal, the film follows a young Persian prince of the 6th century who, with the help of a mysterious princess (Gemma Arterton), will return the sands of time back to the hourglass using the "Dagger of Time", protecting the world from an angry ruler.
Ben Kingsley, Alfred Molina and Toby Kebbell complete the cast. The film is being produced by Jerry Bruckheimer and is being directed by Mike Newell (Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire).
Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time will hit theatres on May 28, 2010.
