The two actors worked under the direction of Susan Stroman. Uma Thurman, Will Ferrell, Gary Beach and Roger Bart also make up the cast of the musical comedy. The film was written by Mel Brooks and Thomas Meehan.
In the film, a Broadway producer thinks that he has found a way to make a fortune. He plans to raise much more than enough money for a film, then pocket the difference after the film is a sure-fire flop. However, when the film opens it becomes an immediate hit.
The Producers opens in theatres on December 21.
