American rockers Weezer will drop their next studio album on September 13. The group signed a deal with Epitaph Records after leaving their old Sony label.
The album Hurley was named for the character of the same name on the television series, Lost.
Frontman Rivers Cuomo commented on the new album: "We all felt that the really intense, raw emotional side of Weezer is what’s going to make everyone the happiest at this moment"
Cuomo produced the album with Shawn Everett. He also said. "Weezer’s become a totally kick ass live band, and when we were making Hurley you could just hear the sound of people going into the studio, pressing ‘Record’ and rocking…"
