When Paul Bissonnette strangles two Oilers fans with joy

If there’s one podcast that’s getting a lot of attention in the hockey world, it’s the guys from Spittin’ Chiclets. After all, they’re entertaining and I hear they love hockey.

They’re also capable of breaking scoops and exposing situations. #MikeBabcock

There are a lot of hockey fans who know who the podcast guys are, and that makes it so that publicly, when you see one or more of the hosts, it sets the mood in the place.

And that’s what happened Saturday night, when Ryan Whitney and Paul Bissonnette showed up at the Oilers arena on the heels of Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Final.

During a break, the Oilers showed footage of Whitney when he played in Edmonton. The crowd applauded.

There he was (wearing a Ryan Nugent-Hopkins jersey) alongside Paul Bissonnette, a guy who’s quite capable of attracting attention. Bissonnette was also wearing an Oilers jersey… which went over the edge once the cameras were on him.

As you can see, he had fun.

What really caught the eye was Biz Nasty’s way of celebrating. As seen in the video, he grabbed the two fans in front of him by the neck to celebrate with them.

He strangled the guys a little while he was shirtless. He did it without malice, of course. The guy just wanted to party.

Whitney was much calmer when compared to Bissonnette, but he still seemed happy to be there. He tried to energize the crowd at an important match of his former club.

Will we see them again? Stay tuned.
