According to TMZ.com, Houston wants to take no chances in court, and has therefore hired one of the best divorce attorneys in America, Stephen Kolodny. The well-known lawyer co-wrote The Divorce Court Trial Manual.
Houston, 43, filed official divorce papers last Friday in Orange County, California. In the documents, Houston is referred to as ‘plaintiff Whitney Elizabeth’, while Brown is ‘defendent Robert Beresford’.
Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown were married in 1993. Since their union, they have made the headlines several times for alcohol and drug abuse as well as physical violence toward each other.
