According to various American sources, Houston recently announced that she is in top shape. The I Have Nothing singer recently made her first public appearance since filing for divorce from Bobby Brown. Houston attended a benefit last Saturday in Beverly Hills.
The 43 year-old star was accompanied by producer Clive Davis, who revealed, "She’s been through emotional trauma, and everybody’s rooting for her." Houston is currently working with Clive Davis on a new album.
During the evening, Houston shared a table with Halle Berry and her boyfriend, Gabriel Aubry. The event was hosted by Jay Leno. Houston did not perform at the ceremony.
Two weeks earlier, Whitney Houston filed an official divorce request. She was married to Bobby Brown for 14 years. Houston asked for custody of the couple’s daughter, Bobbi Kristina, with visitation rights for Brown.
