Will Ferrell is set to star in ‘Crazy U’.
The ‘Anchorman’ actor is being lined to produce and appear in the big screen version of Andrew Ferguson’s book ‘Crazy U: One Dad’s Crash Course In Getting His Kid Into College’.
Will is now attached to produce the script with Gary Sanchez Productions partner Adam McKay as well as starring in it.
However, nothing is guaranteed as the idea needs to make it through the development process.
The 2001 tome tells the story about author Andrew’s adventures in trying to figure out the cutthroat world of college applications while trying to ensure his son doesn’t make that fatal mistake that could cost him an elite education.
Part of the book finds the desperate father looking to have a meeting with an expensive private college consultant who can apparently provide the best ways for his beloved offspring to shine.
However, he soon sees that the rest of the parenting world are just as determined to get their children into a good college and there are many comedy clashes.
