Will Ferrell Quits Film Project

Will Ferrell and David Dobkin have quit the film Neighborhood Watch.

Variety reports that actor Will Ferrell and director David Dobkin (Fred Claus, Wedding Crashers) have left the 20th Century Fox film Neighborhood Watch.

The two men signed on for the comedy last spring and Dobkin had recently made several revisions in the script, written by Jared Stern. The film tells the story of a city dweller who moves to the suburbs and discovers a vast conspiracy.

For the moment, no other details have been released on the reasons why the two men left the project.

Fans can still see Will Ferrell on the big screen in The Goods: Live HardSell Hard, which will hit theatres on August 14. He is also currently filming The Other Guys, expected to be released on August 6, 2010.
