Several rumours are circulating about the next Spider Man flick. According to Slashfilm, Sam Raimi has approached McAdams and Romola Garai (The Other Man, Atonement) to star in the fourth instalment of the franchise.
It was reported for a while that the director wants to add a new female character to the story. Black Cat’s character would be Spider Man’s ambiguous enemy and ally.
Another villain was added to the Spider Man 4 script. The Lizard, also known as Dr. Curt Connor, will be played by Dylan Baker, who was seen in Revolutionary Road.
While we wait for an official cast list to be announced, we know that Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst will be returning to their roles. The film is expected to reach theatres on May 5, 2011.
