Will Smith Marches Against Violence

Actor and rap singer Will Smith went down on the streets to protest against violence.

The star of the movie Men In Black (1997) is a strong peace advocate. Along with his wife, Jada Pinkett, hundreds of community members and local officials, he walked down in Pennsylvania neighbourhoods in Philadelphia to protest against street crimes, which claimed 380 lives only last year. The event was rounded out by Charles "Charlie Mack" Alston’s Party 4 Peace Celebridy Weekend.

"We’re going to take this walk, hopefully draw a little attention to the problem and get some solutions," explained Will Smith, proud supporter for the event.

The actor, who refused the role of Neo in The Matrix (1999) for that of a cowboy in Wild Wild West (1999) is from Philadelphia. He has already spoken about building a restaurant, bars and a community center in the area, but his visions have yet to come to life.
