Will Smith is reported to be in talks with Oscar-winning director Kathryn Bigelow (The Hurt Locker) to star in her next film, Triple Frontier.
The director is aiming high for her next project. With an Oscar on her mantle she has the clout to sign the biggest names in Hollywood. And she is going for it. She has also met with Oscar winner Sean Penn, Oscar winner Javier Bardem and Christian Bale. Oscar winner Denzel Washington has also been linked to the project.
Shooting will begin next year. It is set in the border zone of Argentina, Brazil and Paraguay where criminal activity runs wild. Mark Boal is writing the script.
Will Smith has been keeping busy behind the camera with his production company. But he is set to reprise his popular role when Men in Black III starts shooting next month. It is scheduled to open in theatres on May 25, 2012.
