FemaleFirst reports that actor Val Kilmer may be entering the race for governor in New Mexico in 2010.
Kilmer previously mentioned that entering into politics seemed strange, but at the same time, he is tempted to follow in the footsteps of actor-turned-governor Arnold Schwarzenegger.
The state’s current governor, Bill Richardson, will retire next year, after serving two years. Kilmer stated, "I’m looking for ways to be contributive (sic). And if that ends up being where I can make a substantial contribution, then I’ll run."
