Smith’s son Jaden starred in the movie, The Pursuit of Happyness in 2006. Now Willow, daughter of Will and Jada Pinkett Smith, is also showing that there is talent in this family. Willow got the part in the movie I Am Legend which will be in theatres on December 14.
Will Smith explained, "She has a drive. She has an energy and she just connects to human emotion. I think a big part was probably [seeing] Jaden after The Pursuit of Happyness. She saw what Jaden did, and she was like, ‘I want that.’"
Her father added that his two children were very different. "Jaden is [like] Johnny Depp. He just wants to do good work . . . He loves acting, he just wants to make good movies. And Willow is Paris Hilton. Willow wants to be on TV."
Willow Smith had to audition for the part in I Am Legend. Will and Jada do not want their children to have special privileges because their parents are celebrities.
