Wilson Phillips to star in reality show

Wilson Phillips Still Holding On will document the recording of a new album.

American girl group Wilson Phillips – who first rose to fame in the early ’90s with their hit single Hold On – will be at the center of a new reality show that follows their efforts to record a new album, reports Female First.

The series, Wilson Phillips Still Holding On, debuts this Sunday (November 27), and band member Carnie Wilson insists that there will be plenty of drama to keep the show interesting and entertaining: "It’s not like, ‘We’ve been friends forever; everything is great.’ It’s more like, ‘You’re in a bad mood; you’re flaky,’ and it’s all real," she explained.

"I’m excited and also scared for people to see it," added fellow member Chynna Phillips. "We fight like sisters and we have our disagreements and have to battle through that like any other relationship. I think people will identify with that and I’m glad they’ll will get a window into what it’s really like to be in a group and to know someone for 43 years."

The new album will feature covers of classic songs by the Beach Boys and the Mamas and the Papas; the three women who make up Wilson Phillips happen to be the daughters of founding members: Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys and John and Michelle Phillips of the Mamas and the Papas.
