According to Production Weekly, Ryder has agreed to star in the romantic comedy. The 35 year-old actress will star opposite Wes Bentley and Ray Romano. Filmmaker Geoffrey Haley will direct the project.
The Last Word follows the story of a writer (Bentley) who makes his living by writing suicide notes for others. His life changes when he falls in love with Ryder’s character, a sister of one of his deceased clients.
Filming is set to begin this month in Los Angeles.
