Woody Allen’s Image Is Not for Sale

Filmmaker Woody Allen is taking legal action against American Apparel.

The director of Annie Hall is suing the clothing company American Apparel for $10 million because they used an image from his film in their advertisement without obtaining his consent.

Last Monday (March 31), a lawsuit was filed at a court in Manhattan. The famous New York director contends that American Apparel’s ad was "especially egregious and damaging."

Since the start of his career Allen has protected his image and has refused to associate with many brands. American Apparel refuses to make any comments about the director.
