The actor was warned about the American paparazzi when the premiere of the film Avatar took place on Wednesday evening (December 16) in Los Angeles.
Although he has starred in films including Terminator Salvation and Macbeth, this is the first time that he’s grabbed a leading role. Now that he is starring in James Cameron’s Avatar, the paparazzi are ready to pounce on him.
The actor has seen the downside of fame on the red carpet, which is where he is least comfortable and defensive. He has asked the paparazzi to treat him with respect. "I’ve just taken on the American photographers and they can get a bit disrespectful and a bit abusive," the star said of the red carpet to FemaleFirst.
