Yes will release box set

The prog-rock favourites will release live material in a set of four CDs and a DVD.

Yes is set to release a box set that will help fans go back in time to the band’s 1995 reunion tour and other live shows. Keys to Ascension will consist of four CDs and a DVD.

That 1995 tour featured the band’s most celebrated members, Jon Anderson, Chris Squire, Steve Howe, Rick Wakeman and Alan White.

The band went on to record new material at Yesworld studios in San Luis Obispo, California in the winter of 1995 and the spring of 1996. Yes then performed three live shows in March 1996 at The Freemont Theatre in San Luis Obispo.

The soon-to-be-released box set will contain music from all those live gigs and some studio tracks too.

Music-News.com comments: "This handsomely packaged CD & DVD set bears testimony to the fact that all the musical magic is still there: stunning technical ability, incredible improvisational skills and a powerful on-stage alchemy."

Yes frontman Jon Anderson isn’t singing with the band anymore since doctors discovered cysts on his vocal cords. Quebecer Benoît David is now the man behind the microphone with YES.

The box set comes out on September 20.
