Yoko Ono snags Lady Gaga

The pop star will perform at a special Plastic Ono Band gig.

A who’s who of musical greats, including Lady Gaga, is on the ticket for two upcoming shows hosted by Yoko Ono on the West Coast.

The wife of the late John Lennon revived the Plastic Ono Band earlier this year and recruited son Sean Lennon as the band’s musical director.

A gig that took place in NYC in February included stars like Eric Clapton, Paul Simon and Bette Midler.

The West Coast event takes place at the Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles on October 1 and 2. Ono snagged some big names to join her at these two special gigs. Musicians like Lady Gaga, Iggy Pop, Perry Farrell, Wu-Tang’s RZA, Nels Cline of Wilco fame, plus Kim Gordon and Thurston Moore of Sonic Youth are all scheduled to perform.

The Plastic Ono Band was a "conceptual supergroup" founded by John Lennon and Yoko Ono in 1969. Some big names were involved at the time, including Eric Clapton, Beatles George Harrison and Ringo Starr, Alan White of Yes and The Who’s Keith Moon.
