Yves Rocher launches organic body wash

Mallow flower, argan oil and shea butter featured in Jardins du Monde BIO collection.

French cosmetics company Yves Rocher is expanding its popular Jardins du Monde collection with three new botanical body wash products for the new Jardins du Monde BIO line.

Created from 99.4 percent natural ingredients – ten percent of them organic – and free of parabens and colorants, the body washes are available in mallow flower, argan oil or shea butter varieties. The creams are pH neutral and have a fragrance that is 100 percent natural.

The first body wash contains organically-grown mallow flowers from the company’s own fields in Gacilly, France. The leaves and flowers of the mallow plant have been traditionally used for its skin-softening properties, and the shower gel helps leave skin feeling softer and more supple.

Organic argan oil for the second body wash comes directly from southwest Morocco. This shower gel is designed to nourish the skin and leave it feeling silky.

Shea butter for the third gel has been sourced directly from sub-Saharan Africa, where local women harvest the nuts by hand. With moisturizing and soothing properties, the organic cream formula is designed to provide relief from dry winter skin.

Retailing for $3.50 for a 200 mL bottle, the new botanical body wash products will be available beginning January 2012 through Yves Rocher stores and online.
