Zara Phillips and Duchess of Cornwall share horse bond
Zara Phillips shares a bond with the Duchess of Cornwall because of their love of horses.
Queen Elizabeth’s eldest granddaughter was honored at a reception hosted by Camilla at Clarence House yesterday (01.23.13), and Zara says they get very well because they both love the animal.
She said: »Obviously horses are part of our family and horses have been a part of her family as well.
»It is something that she loves and it is very easy when you have the same interests. »
Camilla is patron of the British Equestrian Federation and has bred horses.
She was in attendance to watch Zara win a silver medal for Team GB at London 2012 in the three-day eventing competition.
Zara also admitted it was »probable » she called her husband Mike Tindall an idiot for buying a horse he knew nothing about – despite his $20,000 purchase going on to win the Welsh Grand National earlier this month and now being worth a reported $320,000.
She added: »He just started bidding but he didn’t know what he was bidding for.
»He didn’t know any of its form or anything but luckily the horse has won. »
