Zara Phillips shares a bond with the Duchess of Cornwall because of their love of horses.
Queen Elizabeth’s eldest granddaughter was honored at a reception hosted by Camilla at Clarence House yesterday (01.23.13), and Zara says they get very well because they both love the animal.
She said: ”Obviously horses are part of our family and horses have been a part of her family as well.
”It is something that she loves and it is very easy when you have the same interests.”
Camilla is patron of the British Equestrian Federation and has bred horses.
She was in attendance to watch Zara win a silver medal for Team GB at London 2012 in the three-day eventing competition.
Zara also admitted it was ”probable” she called her husband Mike Tindall an idiot for buying a horse he knew nothing about – despite his $20,000 purchase going on to win the Welsh Grand National earlier this month and now being worth a reported $320,000.
She added: ”He just started bidding but he didn’t know what he was bidding for.
”He didn’t know any of its form or anything but luckily the horse has won.”
