Deschanel and the Death Cab for Cutie singer became husband and wife on Saturday (September 19) just outside of Seattle, their reps announced to People.
Right before Christmas last year, Gibbard proposed to his sweetheart with a platinum ring holding a three-carat diamond.
Deschanel, who was recently seen in the film 500 Days of Summer, is now filming Your Highness with Natalie Portman and James Franco. The film is set to open on October 1, 2010.
Meanwhile, Gibbard is currently teaming with the indie band, The Postal Service.
