Jamie Foxx Wanted for Copacabana

Manilow wants Foxx to play Tony Parker, the lead character in the song and the intended film.

Foxx has recently played Ray Charles in the film about the late singer’s life, Ray, in which he won an Oscar.

Manilow feels that his film would be a success with Foxx.  According to Moviehole.net he said: "The whole concept is ready to go, but as yet Jamie is tied up with Miami Vice. With him on board we’ll have a smash-hit film."
