Hockey player Jonathan Huberdeau, now a member of the Calgary Flames, said he will leave his brain to science following his death.

« As an NHL player, I’m very aware of the impact of head injuries, concussions and the link to other mental health issues, » he said.

With this move, Huberdeau will help researchers who focus on brains that have received violent contact learn more about everything related to concussions.

Hubby was involved in a big trade earlier this summer, when the Flames acquired him along with MacKenzie Weeger, Cole Schwindt and a first round pick in 2025 in return for Matthew Tkachuk.
