Justin Trudeau meets the Pope

Justin Trudeau commented on Pope Francis‘ visit, accompanied by a photo of the two men shaking hands.

The pope arrived in Edmonton to « offer the Roman Catholic Church’s official apology to First Nations, Inuit and Métis Survivors and their descendants for the role it played in the exploitation of residential schools. »

« We know this has the potential to retraumatize Survivors and reopen old wounds, and we’ll continue to be here to provide the necessary supports, » the caption under the Prime Minister’s post read.

In the comments under the picture, several Internet users commented that the visit of the Pope was a waste of time and money and that the latter was not sincere in his apology.
