The actor is in negotiations to join the film The All Nighter, in which he will play an aging hitman who goes after his former employer in order to protect his family. However, he will be forced to go on the run with his son.
Brad Ingelsby(Out of the Furnace) is penning the screenplay. No director has yet been attached to the project.
Neeson, 60, recently seen in Taken 2, is now shooting the action thriller Non-Stop with Julianne Moore. The film is due to open in 2013.
He will also lend his voice to Bad Cop in The Lego Movie, due in cinemas on February 7, 2014.
Finally, he is completing the romantic drama The Third Person, in which he co-stars Mila Kunis, Olivia Wilde, James Franco, Adrien Brody, Kim Basinger, Maria Bello and Casey Affleck.
