Lord of the Rings Wins a New Title
Canadian composer Howard Shore’s music was chosen as the favourite in a public poll taken by British television station ITV.
The soundtrack topped its competition, namely the soundtracks from the films Star Wars and Gladiator, which are both from the composer John Williams.
Before his work on the Rings trilogy, Shore was best known for his music from the films Crash, The Silence of the Lambs, Gangs of New York and The Aviator. He will be working together with Jackson on his next film, King Kong.
