Mariah Carey Doing a Movie

The singer will be starring in this independent film directed by Aaron Woodley (Rhinoceros Eyes).

The movie will begin filming in the spring in New Mexico and Tennessee.  The singer will play the part of a waitress, who with the help of her two brothers, sets out to find the father they never knew.

Carey will try to make this movie more of a success than her former attempt at acting.  In 2001, her first part in the movie Glitter was a disaster.
