Mariah Carey Dominates the American Music Awards

The American star received four nominations, followed by Kelly Clarkson, 50 Cent and Green Day, who all were given three nominations.

Many other groups will be considered for awards in various categories, including Black Eyed Peas, Destiny’s Child, Eminem, Fantasia, Toby Keith, Tim McGraw and Gretchen Wilson.

The 33rd American Music Awards will be held on November 22 at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.

The nominations are based on CD sales, and the winners for each category are chosen from a group of 20,000 voters.
