MTV Movie Awards: The Winners

The ceremony took place on Sunday in California.

Jake Gyllenhaal (Brokeback Moutain) earned the title of best actor, as well as best kiss, with his co-star Heath Ledger.

The comedy Wedding Crashers was selected as the best film, and its stars, Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn earned the best on-screen duo title.

Actor Jim Carrey was honoured for his career achievements.  The Canadian star made the scene dressed in white and surrounded by a group of angels.

Actor Steve Carell won the prize for best comedy performance for his hilarity in the film The 40 Year-Old Virgin.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were awarded the title of best on-screen fight, for their performance in the film Mr. and Mrs. Smith.

The title of best villain went to Hayden Christensen for his performance in the film Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith.

Christian Bale earned the award for best hero for Batman Begins.
