Nominations Announced for Juno Awards
Nickelback has earned six nominations. The rock group, with their newly released fourth album, All The Right Reasons, is up for Group of the Year, Rock Album of the Year, Single of the Year (Photograph), and People’s Choice, and Album of the Year.
Diana Krall and Michael Buble each received five nominations. Krall will compete in the Artist of the Year, Album of the Year, Jazz Album of the Year for Christmas Songs, Music DVD of the Year, and People’s Choice Artist.
Buble will compete in many of the same categories, including People’s Choice Artist, Album of the Year (It’s Time) and Artist of the Year. Additionally, he has been nominated for Pop Album of the Year and Single of the Year (Home).
Montreal group Arcade Fire, Kalan Porter’s new band, received three nominations.
The Juno Awards will recognize artists in 39 categories and will take place in Halifax on April 2, 2006.
