The two friends worked together in the past on the films Bottle Rocket, Rushmore, The Royal Tenenbaums, and The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou.

Co-written by Anderson, the film tells the story of three brothers on a trip to India.  Filming on the project is set to begin in December.
