Peter Gabriel Ready to Launch New Disc
The former Genesis singer is releasing the album 15 years after starting work on the collection of songs. Gabriel began recording the music in the early 90s. He told Billboard magazine, "The idea was to put rock musicians together with musicians from all over the world and see what happened."
During the past three years, Gabriel continued to work on Big Blue Ball, saying, "the tapes were left in a mess and it’s taken this long to sort out."
Gabriel is joined on the disc by other artists including Sinead O’Connor, Karl Wallinger of World Party, Natacha Atlas and Papa Wemba.
The exact release date has not been announced, although it has been confirmed that it will be in the fall.
